About KIND
Contradictory attitudes, values, and practice’s contest for legitimacy in Nigeria today. Will its nascent democracy grow into a strong system where there is justice, stability and economic well-being? Or will it continue to produce the existing corrupt system where most of the nation’s resources serves a few, fueling injustice, instability and poverty? The country is at a crossroads and must choose.
Nigeria’s women, who have gained least and paid most under military rule, offer a strong possibility for change. Women have the most to gain from living in a viable, democratic state. Now, as the nation’s leaders at all levels position to exploit the system, several women are presenting inspiring examples of service-leadership. However, they remain few and unsupported.
How does this small trickle grow into a current that can turn the tide? KIND offers programs that accelerate the emergence of a critical mass of service-oriented women leaders.
