Impact
"Last year, my parents tried to get me married
off to an elderly man who is also my uncle!
They planned my marriage without my
knowledge. KIND has really helped me in
this predicament by engaging my parents to
change their plan and securing a scholarship
for me from one of our mentors. Now young
girls in my hometown in Mali are taking a cue
from my action by rejecting early marriage
and my picture and story can now be found
in the Malian National Museum."
Zainab Idris

"I run a project on sickle cell anaemia
because I am a sickle carrier. I love to meet
people and network. This much I was able
to achieve through KIND.I am also better
equipped to effectively run my organisation."
Oyinlola Mustapha

"Before this program-no, but after the
program I consider myself as a leader. The
program has given me a sense of who I am
and made me discover my potentials."

"KIND has given me the opportunity to
meet and relate with other young women
who have a similar passion and are fighting
to make a difference."

"I have always hoped for a Nigeria where youths
are heard everywhere. As an active member
of the African Youth Parliament, the lessons
from KIND's training will be applied to canvass
better conditions for the youth of Africa."
